Pope Francis apologized today for using a homophobic slur during a closed-door meeting. He said he was "deeply sorry" for using the slur and that he "sincerely regrets the pain caused by his words." The Pope went on to say that he would never intentionally hurt anyone, and that he is committed to working with others to build a more inclusive society.
